Edward Tsao has worked as an architect and as a design-build contractor in the Houston Asian community for over 20 years. He moved from Taipei, Taiwan and settled down in Houston, Texas graduating with a Master of Architecture from The University of Houston. Edward has completed projects including commercial, residential and industrial buildings ranging from $100K to $1.5M of new construction as well as renovation projects. From undergoing field-work as a contractor, Edward has gained experience in the field of Construction Management as well; combining all of his knowledge as a full-service architect.
Edward worked for the Housing and Community Development Department of the City of Houston from 1994- 1998 as a project manager. There he learned how to manage governmental projects, dictate building codes, outline procedures for publicly funded projects and coordinate plans with professional consultants.
Having lived in Houston for the past 25 years, Edward is heavily involved in the Houston Asian Community and is part of various organizations which promote the beautification and development of Southwest Chinatown.
